U R Herd is dedicated to creating a diverse environment based on inclusion, compassion, respect and understanding. We seek to offer Equine assisted therapy, growth and learning services to individuals of diverse cultural and economic backgrounds who have trauma history, post-traumatic stress, moral injury or other mental health needs. We are a Neurodiverse Affirming Service.
Our mission is to Empower underserved youths, families, and communities, to create healthy, connected, fulfilling lives, by providing trauma informed care. With our equine assisted team and licensed mental health professionals we provide suicide prevention education, counselling, life skills programs, and learning in a safe, supportive environment. We work in coordination with other institutions and organizations by providing unique, specialized services to the greater New Orleans area.
